Reassurance after installation

EverSafe warranty and guarantees

We stand behind the products we supply and the quality of our installation work. This page explains our standard cover, how to make a claim and how manufacturer warranties work alongside your legal rights.

Updated: 7 September 20263-year selected-product warranty12-month workmanship guarantee

Our standard warranty cover

Your quotation, order, completion documents and product paperwork confirm the cover applying to your particular installation. Where those documents provide more generous cover, they take priority.

3 years

Selected products

Qualifying products supplied and installed by EverSafe are covered against specified product faults for three years from the date stated in your project documents.

12 months

Workmanship

Installation work carried out by or under the responsibility of EverSafe is guaranteed against defects caused by our workmanship for 12 months from practical completion.

Extra

Manufacturer cover

Some products include a separate manufacturer guarantee lasting longer or covering different components. Its own registration and conditions may apply.

Important

A warranty or guarantee is additional to your statutory consumer rights. It does not replace or restrict rights relating to faulty, misdescribed, unfit or incorrectly installed goods, or services not performed with reasonable care and skill.

Products included in the standard three-year cover

Subject to the project documents and the conditions on this page, the standard three-year EverSafe product warranty applies to selected items supplied and installed by us.

Product group Examples What to check
Showers and water controls Thermostatic mixer showers and electric showers Model-specific servicing, water-pressure, descaling and electrical requirements
Pumps and ventilation Shower pumps and extractor fans Cleaning, ventilation, isolation and manufacturer maintenance instructions
Heating Electric towel rails supplied as part of the project Electrical installation, controls and permitted use
Walk-in bath components Door seals, door latches and powered bath motor systems Cleaning, safe operation and periodic checks described in the handover information

Other products may carry different EverSafe or manufacturer cover. Sanitaryware, taps, screens, seats, flooring, furniture, boilers, alarms and accessories are covered only for the period and scope shown in the relevant quotation, warranty certificate or manufacturer documents.

What the workmanship guarantee covers

Covered examples

  • Leaks caused by an installation joint or connection we made
  • Fixings or finishes failing because our installation was defective
  • Incorrect installation of goods supplied within our agreed scope
  • Work not matching the agreed specification because of our error

Assessment and remedy

We may inspect the reported issue to establish its cause. If the claim is valid, we will choose an appropriate remedy such as repair, re-performance or replacement, taking account of your statutory rights and avoiding significant inconvenience.

We remain responsible for installation work within our contract even where suitably qualified subcontractors were used.

What we do not cover under the warranty

Our warranties protect against the faults described in your cover. They do not provide accidental-damage insurance or free maintenance. The exclusions below apply only to the extent that the stated cause is responsible for the problem, and do not exclude our own defective work or your statutory rights.

Accidental damage & misuse

  • Impact damage, chips, cracks or scratches caused after handover by accidents or misuse, including damage to wall panels
  • Damage from abrasive cleaners, unsuitable chemicals or cleaning methods contrary to the care instructions
  • Overloading seats, grab rails or poles, or using fittings outside their intended purpose or stated limits

Wear & routine maintenance

  • Normal deterioration through use, rather than a manufacturing or installation defect
  • Routine cleaning, descaling, servicing and replacement of consumables worn out through ordinary use
  • Faults caused by neglected maintenance, limescale or blockages from hair, soap or other debris

Outside the applicable warranty

  • Faults arising after the relevant warranty period, unless another guarantee or a statutory remedy applies
  • Components or services outside the scope of the applicable written warranty
  • Call-outs, removal, refitting or labour not included in product-only cover, where EverSafe has no separate responsibility

Property & supply problems

  • Pre-existing structural, plumbing, drainage or electrical defects outside our agreed work and not caused or worsened by us
  • Faults caused by external water-pressure, water-supply or electrical-supply problems
  • Damage caused by external flooding, freezing or building movement unrelated to our workmanship

Third-party work & other products

  • Damage or faults caused by later alterations, repairs or relocation by others
  • Product defects in customer-supplied goods; our responsibility for installing them with reasonable care and skill remains
  • Unrelated fittings or equipment outside our supply and installation contract

Changes & avoidable damage

  • Optional upgrades, changes of preference or alterations after the agreed installation is complete
  • Reasonable inherent colour or texture variation that matches the agreed description and sample
  • Additional damage caused by continuing to use a known faulty item where it was reasonably safe and practical to stop

We will explain any charge first

Where work is outside the applicable cover and is not our responsibility, inspection, call-out, labour, parts and replacement products are chargeable. We will explain the proposed costs and obtain your agreement before chargeable work begins. The expiry of a warranty alone does not remove your statutory rights.

Do not attempt an unsafe repair

If you suspect an electrical, gas, structural or serious water-safety problem, stop using the affected equipment where safe and seek appropriate urgent assistance. Contact us before dismantling or arranging non-emergency third-party work, as this can make the cause harder to establish. This does not prevent necessary action to protect people or property.

How to make a warranty claim

1

Contact us

Call or email with your name, installation address and project reference.

2

Describe the issue

Explain when it began, what happens and whether there is an immediate safety risk.

3

Share evidence

Provide relevant photographs, video, error codes or proof of purchase if reasonably available.

4

Assessment

We may troubleshoot, arrange inspection or liaise with the manufacturer before confirming the remedy.

What happens next

  • We record the claim and check applicable cover
  • Urgent safety reports are prioritised
  • Visits are arranged within a reasonable time
  • Valid repairs are completed without warranty labour charges
  • We explain the outcome if a claim is not covered

Charges outside cover

If evidence suggests the issue is outside warranty, we will explain any proposed inspection, call-out, parts or labour charge and obtain your agreement before chargeable work proceeds.

If inspection shows that EverSafe is responsible under the warranty or consumer law, an inappropriate diagnostic charge will not be retained.

Manufacturer warranties

Manufacturer guarantees are issued by the named manufacturer and may require product registration, proof of purchase, serial numbers, servicing or use of approved engineers. Read and retain the documents supplied at handover.

We can help identify the route

Contact EverSafe first where the product formed part of our installation. We can help establish whether the issue concerns the product, our workmanship, a manufacturer claim or another cause.

Separate but additional

A manufacturer may administer its own parts or replacement process. Referral to a manufacturer does not remove EverSafe’s responsibilities as the contracting trader where consumer law makes us responsible.

Your statutory rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must meet legal standards including satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and matching their description. Where installation forms part of the contract, incorrect installation can mean the goods do not conform.

Services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. Depending on the circumstances, statutory remedies can include repair, replacement, repeat performance, price reduction or rejection. Time limits and available remedies depend on the facts; the expiry of a commercial warranty does not automatically end statutory rights.

Need to report a concern?

Use our Complaints Procedure for unresolved warranty concerns, or obtain independent information through GOV.UK consumer protection guidance.

Keeping your cover straightforward

Retain the quotation, invoice, completion record, model and serial details, operating instructions and warranty certificates.

Follow care instructions

Use, clean, descale, ventilate and maintain products as instructed. Arrange required servicing by a competent person.

Report issues promptly

Early reporting can limit damage and make diagnosis easier. Take reasonable steps to prevent avoidable further loss.

Make a warranty enquiry

Tell us what has happened and we will guide you through the next reasonable step. Accessible communication and reasonable adjustments are available.

This page describes our standard position. The project-specific documents issued to you identify the exact products, dates and additional guarantees applying to your installation.
